Our Founder

April is originally from Chicago and is the first person in her family to graduate from college. She is committed to helping other students, especially first-generation college students to do the same. Her goal is to equip young people to develop a positive view, experience, and understanding of God, self, and community, so they can grow up to be empowered adults who live not only a productive life, but a purposeful one. April also works to train and coach educators and leaders to reignite their own dreams, strengthen their leadership and strategically work with people in a way that produces individual ownership, increased motivation, and improved outcomes.

April dedicates her life to positively impacting others through the non-profit, corporate and ministry work she leads through Bold Believers United as well as her volunteerism. She has been a mentor to young people ages 12-25yrs old for over 15yrs and is also involved in her community through serving as a(n):

  • Licensed Christian Minister at the Potter’s House Church
  • President of the King’s University Graduate Student Council
  • Economic Security Grant Reviewer for the Texas Women’s Foundation
  • Alumni of the Mayor’s Star Council
  • Alumni of Leadership ISD

And a number of additional service organizations including Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.

April enjoys traveling around the world especially to blue water beaches, snapping pictures of nature and people or taking a class to continue her learning. She became a licensed minister in 2017 and looks forward to seeing God’s plan continually unfold.
